Frequently Asked Questions

Please email hello@nourishedliving.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No referral is needed. You can book directly as a private client or NDIS participant. If you have a GP, paediatrician or allied health team involved, your Dietitian can collaborate with them with your consent.

You may be eligible to access a rebate through Medicare with a GP referral and "care plan". Speak with your doctor about which Medicare "care plan" may be suitable for you before booking an appointment.

You may be eligible for a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan if you have:

- A chronic health condition which is likely to be present for 6 months or longer

- A terminal illness

- Your GP assesses that you would benefit from a Dietitian service, prepares a GPCCMP for you and writes a referral letter to Nourished Living

Absolutely! Telehealth is available Australia‑wide and is suitable for adults, families and many paediatric feeding concerns. It’s a flexible option if you prefer support from home.

Your first session focuses on understanding your story - your health background, daily routines, sensory needs, food preferences and goals. We explore what’s working, what feels challenging and what you’d like support with. You’ll leave with clear next steps and a plan that feels achievable.

Session length varies depending on your needs.

Most appointments are 30-60 minutes, with longer sessions available for complex feeding needs, NDIS skill‑building or in‑home support.

You’re welcome to bring:

  • Any relevant medical reports or letters
  • A completed 3-day food diary (a template will be provided)
  • Bluebook and growth charts (for children)
  • Your NDIS plan (if applicable)
  • A list of questions or concerns
  • Any feeding equipment or foods you’d like to discuss
  • Any videos of your child eating

But if you don’t have anything, that’s completely fine — just bring yourself.

Payment for services can be made via direct bank transfer, via credit card (VISA/Mastercard) or PayPal. Payment is required within 7 business days of your appointment. Invoices are issued after each appointment.
