Frequently Asked Questions

Please email hello@nourishedliving.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No referral is needed. You can book directly as a private client or NDIS participant. If you have a GP, paediatrician or allied health team involved, I’m happy to collaborate with them.

You may be eligible to access a rebate through Medicare with a GP referral and "care plan". Speak with your doctor about a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) before booking an appointment. Individuals who qualify for a GPCCMP can access up to 5 Medicare subsidised allied health appointments per year.

You may be eligible for a GPCCMP if you have:

- A chronic health condition which is likely to be present for 6 months or longer

- A terminal illness

- Your GP assesses that you would benefit from a Dietitian service, prepares a GPCCMP for you and writes a referral letter to Nourished Living

Absolutely. If you’re feeling unsure, you’re not alone - many people reach out before they fully know what they need. You don’t have to make a big decision straight away. I offer a friendly, obligation‑free conversation so you can ask questions, explore your options and get a clear sense of how I can support you. This is your chance to talk things through, feel heard and decide with confidence. If you’re curious, interested or simply want to understand what working together might look like, reaching out is the best next step.

A quick chat can help you move forward, feel supported and take action toward the change you’re looking for.

Yes. To ensure fairness and availability for all clients:

  • Cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice incur no fee
  • Cancellations within 24 hours may incur the full session fee
  • NDIS cancellations follow the current NDIS cancellation policy

If you’re unwell or experiencing unexpected circumstances, please reach out — I aim to be flexible and supportive wherever possible.

It is important you arrive for your appointment on time. Late arrival impacts on service delivery.

Yes - I support both self‑managed and plan‑managed participants. I provide meal planning, nutrition skill‑building, feeding support and clinical nutrition care aligned with NDIS goals. If you’re unsure what fits your plan, I can guide you.

Yes - In‑home sessions are available across the Central Coast, NSW. This is ideal for meal planning support, feeding therapy, sensory‑based eating challenges and practical skill‑building.

Absolutely! Telehealth is available Australia‑wide and is suitable for adults, families and many paediatric feeding concerns. It’s a flexible option if you prefer support from home.

Your first session focuses on understanding your story - your health background, daily routines, sensory needs, food preferences and goals. We explore what’s working, what feels challenging and what you’d like support with. You’ll leave with clear next steps and a plan that feels achievable.

Session length varies depending on your needs.

Most appointments are 30-60 minutes, with longer sessions available for complex feeding needs, NDIS skill‑building or in‑home support.

You’re welcome to bring:

  • Any relevant medical reports or letters
  • A completed 3 day food diary (a template will be provided)
  • Growth charts (for children)
  • Your NDIS plan (if applicable)
  • A list of questions or concerns
  • Any feeding equipment or foods you’d like to discuss
  • Any videos of your child eating

But if you don’t have anything, that’s completely fine — just bring yourself.

My practice is non‑diet, size‑inclusive, and evidence‑based. I focus on nourishment, wellbeing and building confidence with food - not restriction, dieting or fear‑based messaging. Care is grounded in current research, responsive feeding principles, trauma‑informed practice and 17 years of clinical experience.

If you’re working with a fertility specialist, midwife or obstetric team, I’m happy to collaborate to ensure your care is coordinated and supportive.

Yes - I support children and adults with sensory differences, restricted eating patterns, food refusal and mealtime stress. I use responsive feeding, neutral exposures and family‑centred strategies to build confidence and reduce pressure.

Yes - I have extensive experience supporting children with autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability and complex medical needs. I tailor nutrition and feeding strategies to each child’s abilities, sensory profile and support environment, and collaborate closely with therapists, paediatricians and support teams.
